Sharon Marsh - BVetMed. MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon and Director
Sharon joined Cinque Ports Vets in 1993 as a new Graduate initially working at the Rye and Lydd branches. Sharon developed her interests in small animal medicine and surgery and in 2009 became a Director of Cinque Ports Vets and Milbourn Equine. She is responsible for the Kingsnorth, Lydd, Tenterden and Wye surgeries.
In her spare time Sharon and her husband Simon enjoy spending time with their two sons Will and Ed. Sharon enjoys sailing her laser from Rye Harbour sailing club with the family, surfing and walking her Border Terriers Fred and Harry.
Jillian Hall - B.VetMed.CertAVP(VetGP)MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Jillian graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004. She has practiced in the local area since then, joining our Kingsnorth branch in 2009. Jillian gained her certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2012, inspired by her particular interest in surgery.
Vanessa Martin - BVM&S MRCVS- Veterinary Surgeon
Vanessa graduated in 1991 from Edinburgh. She began practicing in Yorkshire and then in the local area in 1996, joining us at Kingsnorth in September 2004. She too is kept busy by her family and pets, with a passion for riding and competing on her horse, Mr Parker.
Jenny Murrell - BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Jenny graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2010. Jenny joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2012 and divides her time between our Kingsnorth and Wye branches. In her spare time she enjoys photography with her partner, Andy and also horse riding. Jenny is also kept busy looking after her two cats and Herbie the dog.
Mark Neall - BVSc CertVC MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Mark graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2004 and has been working in small animal practice ever since, initially in Milton Keynes, and then in the Ashford area since 2006. He enjoys all aspects of his work, but has always had a keen interest in cardiology, and gained his certificate in 2010. Mark lives in Ashford with his family, a tortoise and tropical fish, and in his spare time enjoys fishing and keeping up with Formula 1. Having initially joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2010, Mark rejoined us in 2014.
James Whitlock - BSc(Hons) BVetMed(Hons) MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
James graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2015 and joined our Kingsnorth team in 2016. He likes all aspects of small animal first opinion practice with a particular interest in medicine. James is a massive rugby fan and spends most of his spare time watching it with his two dogs Bert and Bumble.
Alice Lovegrove-BVM&S MRCVS-Veterinary Surgeon
Alice graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2013. After graduation she spent the summer as a volunteer veterinarian in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa. After returning to the UK, Alice spent a year working in a busy small animal practice in Cornwall. She has now returned to the South East and started work for Cinque Ports Vets in 2015. Her time is divided between our Kingsnorth and Lydd branches. When not working Alice is kept busy with her 3 dogs, cat and rabbit.
Yohann Glennie - BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Yohann qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2002 , and has been working in small animal practice in Manchester, London and Kent since. He enjoys all aspects of caring after companion animals and joined Cinque Ports Vets in 2014.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his young daughter, energetic Springer Spaniel and adventurous cat, as well as cycling and rowing when time permits!
Richard Best - BVMS MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Richard graduated from Glasgow in 1984. He began his veterinary career in a mixed practice in South Wales moving to Ashford, where he has practiced for over 20 years. Richard joined the team at Kingsnorth in 2009, taking a sabbatical in 2011. He now provides holiday cover for Cinque Ports Vets and in his semi retirement he has a particular interest in Arctic culture, having travelled around Greenland and
Rita Dingwall - CMgr, MCMI, CVPM - Group Practice Manager
Rita is a former president and regional organiser of the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA), and was the VBJ practice manager of the year in 2008. Rita is also a member of the RCVS Communications board and the BVA In Practice Editorial board. Hobbies include reading, cycling, horse riding, skiing and she has a strong interest in technology. Rita has in the past, produced show horses and competed in endurance riding events and crewed for the British teams abroad. She is also currently Chief Horse Steward for the Heathfield Agricultural Show.
Sarah Startup - Branch Manager
Sarah has worked in veterinary practice since 1989 as a Receptionist. Sarah joined our Kingsnorth branch when it was opened in Summer 2001, becoming Branch Manager in 2007. She is assisted in her office by Izzy her rescue terrier.
Lee Faunch - RVN - Head Nurse
Lee began nursing in 1999 qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Lee joined the Kingsnorth branch in 2006 gaining her A1 Assessor qualification in 2008 enabling her to train our student veterinary nurses. She frequently returns to Scotland to visit her family with any spare time taken up by Jeffery and George her very bouncy Labradors!
Rachael Stooks - RVN PHC - Veterinary Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor
Rachael began nursing in 1998 gaining her Veterinary Nursing qualification in 2002. She joined the team at our Tenterden branch in 2003, nursing for referral orthopaedic consultant Mr Gary Clayton-Jones. In 2008 she transferred to our Kingsnorth branch where she has a particular interest in organising the wide variety of nursing clinics. Rachael gained her Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor qualification in 2011 enabling her to advise on a wide range of beneficial healthcare issues. Rachael is also PA for our Group Practice Manager and responsible for maintaining our website and social media.
Kate Hills - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Kate began nursing in 1998, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008. She joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2007 and is kept busy by her family and many pets including Lola her dog.
Faye Goodacre - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Faye joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2012 after qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in the same year. She has a particular interest in radiography.
Lorraine Eason-RVN-Veterinary Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor
Lorraine qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2013. She has a particular interest in Ophthalmology and feline behaviour. Lorraine gained her Pet Health Counsellor qualification in 2007 enabling her to advise on a wide range of beneficial healthcare issues. In her spare time Lorraine enjoys yoga and Tai Chi.
Tania Heath - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Tania began nursing in 1999, qualifying as veterinary nurse in 2004. Tania joined Cinque Ports Vets in 2016 and divides her time between our Kingsnorth and Tenterden branches. Tania is interested in exotics, nursing clubs and surgical nursing. She enjoys spending time with her two children, six guinea pigs, two rabbits, an african land snail, cat and tropical fish.
Claire Neall - Hospital Assistant
Claire joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2015 and is responsible for caring for our patients should they require an overnight stay. Claire has worked in the veterinary industry for over 13 years and loves her job because it allows her to get to know our patients and ensure they have everything they need overnight, whether that is medication, monitoring or just a reassuring cuddle. Claire lives in Ashford with her husband Mark who also works at Kingsnorth. She has two children, two cats, a tortoise and two guinea pigs. Most of her spare time is taken up with being a mum, but if she does get a spare moment, she loves to sit down with a cup of tea and a good book!
Alexandra Findlay-Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Alexandra joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2014 as a Kennel Assisitant. Alexandra is now training to be a veterinary nurse and is interested in all aspects of animal care. Her spare time is spent caring for her two cats Pikachu and Zelda, her rabbit Lily and her Uromastyx (lizard), Nyah.
Andrea Found - Kennel Assistant
Andrea joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2008 as a Receptionist going on to be our Kennel Assistant in 2010. Andrea has studied at Folkestone College to gain her First and National Diploma in Animal Care. She is interested in all aspects of animal care and nursing, practicing with Smartie her Westie.
Charley Heffer – Kennel Assistant
Charley joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2016 as a Kennel Assistant and also works at our Rye branch as a Receptionist on Saturdays. Charley is currently training at Plumpton College for her Animal Care Level 2 Diploma and her ultimate goal is to become a veterinary nurse. In her spare time Charley enjoys spending time with her Jack Russell, Elmo, and 2 cats, Maisie and Fred.
Lorna Tudball - Receptionist
Lorna joined our Kingsnorth branch as our Ambulance driver in 2005 going on to work as one of our Receptionists. Her spare time is taken up by a varied collection of pets including Heidi the Labrador, Barney the Jack Russell Terrier, two cats and several guinea pigs.
Jackie Willis - Receptionist
Jackie has been a Veterinary Receptionist since 2004 joining the Kingsnorth branch in 2008. She spends her spare time riding and competing on her horse Malley and also trying to wear out her two very lively Jack Russell Terriers Billy and Pip.
Julie Luke - Receptionist
Julie joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2010 as a Receptionist having worked in veterinary practice in the past. She also works at our Wye branch as a Receptionist on Saturdays. Her spare time is taken up with walking her dog Delta and looking after her cat Bilbo who she rehomed from the local branch of the Cats Protection.
Sophie Francis - Receptionist
Sophie joined our Kingsnorth branch in 2015 as a receptionist having worked in veterinary practices previously. In her spare time she is kept busy with her family, Labrador Flynn and cat Sox.
Carol Rose - Receptionist
Carol joined our team in August 2015, having previously worked as a Veterinary Receptionist in Lincolnshire and Surrey. Carol works at both our Kingsnorth and Tenterden branches. After taking 3 years off from Reception duties to renovate a house whilst living in France, Carol has returned to the UK with her French rescue Labrador, Bailey. She enjoys walking Bailey in her spare time, also reading, cycling, running and practising her knitting skills.
