Sharon Marsh - BVetMed. MRCVS- Veterinary Surgeon and Director
Sharon joined Cinque Ports Vets in 1993 as a new Graduate initially working at our Rye and Lydd branches. Sharon developed her interests in small animal medicine and surgery and in 2009 became a Director of Cinque Ports Vets and Milbourn Equine. She is responsible for our Kingsnorth, Lydd, Tenterden and Wye surgeries.
In her spare time Sharon and her husband Simon enjoy spending time with their two sons Will and Ed. Sharon enjoys sailing her laser from Rye Harbour sailing club with the family, surfing and walking her dogs Fred and Lottie.
Alice Lovegrove-BVM&S MRCVS-Veterinary Surgeon
Alice graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2013. After graduation she spent the summer as a volunteer veterinarian in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa. After returning to the UK, Alice spent a year working in a busy small animal practice in Cornwall. She has now returned to the South East and started work for Cinque Ports Vets in 2015. Her time is divided between our Kingsnorth and Lydd branches. When not working Alice is kept busy with her 3 dogs, cat and rabbit.
Sarah Startup - Group Practice Manager
Sarah has worked in veterinary practice since 1989 as a Receptionist. Sarah joined our Kingsnorth branch when it was opened in Summer 2001, becoming Branch Manager in 2007 and Group Practice Manager of Cinque Ports Vets & Milbourn Equine in 2016. She is assisted in her office by Izzy her rescue terrier.
Sandra Collins – Branch Manager
Sandra has been at Lydd since 1989 when it first opened and was also involved in the opening of our surgery at Kingsnorth.
Sandra has a special interest in tortoises and currently has three in residence that she rescued. Throughout her career she has also been involved in the rehoming of many dogs.
Claire Howell - RVN - Veterinary Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor.
Claire qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2000 and first joined the practice at our Rye surgery in 2005. She then left to work in an 'out of hours' emergency clinic to gain more experience and then returned as head nurse at our Lydd surgery.Claire has been involved in charity work with domestic animals in Thailand, the Caribbean and Botswana.
Claire enjoys the variety of her work, nursing hospitalised patients and following their progress when they are back at home with their owners. She also enjoys working with clients to improve the quality of their pets' lives via the popular Lydd surgery nurse clinics. Claire gained her Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor qualification in 2010 enabling her to advise on a wide range of beneficial healthcare issues.
Jessica Hutchens-RVN- Veterinary Nurse
Jessica has always wanted to be a veterinary nurse from a very young age and began nursing in 2005. Jessica qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2009 and joined our Lydd branch in 2013. Her spare time is spent looking after her young son, her two cats Tilly and Winston and her guinea pigs.
Natasha Keep - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Natasha joined our Practice in 1993 and attained a lifelong ambition and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2009. Natasha takes an interest in all aspects of her work but is particularly interested in dentistry.
Susan Linford - Receptionist
Susan has been with the surgery since November 2008 and came to us from her role as a doctor's receptionist. She has a cat called Molly who is keeping her busy with her antics.
Julie Macey - Receptionist
Julie joined the surgery in January 2009 and has 13 years experience in veterinary nursing and working as a veterinary receptionist. Julie has a keen interest in canine behaviour and qualified with a credit in intermediate canine psychology through the Animal Care College at Ascot. Julie spends most weekends competing with Hattie her Papillon at agility shows across the South East.
