Esther Masso- MRCVS-Veterinary Surgeon
Esther qualified from the University of Bellaterra (Barcelona) in 1993. She came to England in 1995 where she has been working in practice ever since. Esther joined our Tenterden branch in 2009 where she provides care and treatment for all our patients.
Yohann Glennie - BVetMed MRCVS - Veterinary Surgeon
Yohann qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2002 , and has been working in practices in Manchester, London and Kent ever since. He enjoys all aspects of looking after animals and joined Cinque Ports Vets in 2014.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his young daughter, energetic Springer Spaniel and adventurous cat, as well as cycling and rowing when time permits!
Sarah Startup - Group Practice Manager
Sarah has worked in veterinary practice since 1989 as a Receptionist. Sarah joined our Kingsnorth branch when it was opened in Summer 2001, becoming Branch Manager in 2007 and Group Practice Manager of Cinque Ports Vets & Milbourn Equine in 2016. She is assisted in her office by Izzy her rescue terrier.
Melanie Jones-Business Development and Project Manager
Melanie began nursing at our Rye branch in 1984. She moved to our Kingsnorth branch when it opened in 2001 and after many happy years there she moved to our Tenterden branch in 2014 to oversee project development. In her spare time Melanie enjoys gardening, walking, reading and caring for her 3 cats, Emily, Smartie, Sam and 2 tortoises George and Satnav.
Katherine Butler - RVN - Head Veterinary Nurse, Pet Health Counsellor
Katherine has been working as a Veterinary Nurse since leaving school and qualifying from Bristol University in 1992. Katherine has been working at our Tenterden branch since 1999 and became Head Nurse in 2008. She passed her SQP exam in 2009 which allows her to oversee the dispensing of medications, and gained her Royal Canin Pet Health Counsellor qualification in 2011 which enables her to advise on a wide range of beneficial healthcare issues. She enjoys the variety of working in general practice and enjoys using her skills in our nursing clinics. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and extended family. She also enjoys reading, gardening and socialising with her friends.
Tania Hickman - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Tania began nursing in 1999, qualifying as veterinary nurse in 2004. Tania joined our Tenterden branch in 2016. Tania is interested in exotics, nursing clubs and surgical nursing. She enjoys spending time with her two children, six guinea pigs, two rabbits, an African land snail, cat and tropical fish.
Natasha Keep - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Natasha joined our Practice in 1993 and attained a lifelong ambition and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2009. Natasha takes an interest in all aspects of her work but is particularly interested in dentistry.
Amy Tompsett - RVN - Veterinary Nurse
Amy qualified as a nurse in 2010, joining Cinque Ports Vets in 2016, working at our Tenterden and Rye branches. Amy enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but is particularly interested in feline nursing and behaviour and running nursing clinics. At home, Amy is kept busy with her young daughter and has two rescue cats, Maggie and Betty.
Joanne Buss - Receptionist
Joanne has worked in veterinary practice since 1993 where she nursed until the birth of her son in 2003. She returned to work as a Receptionist in 2004 and joined our Tenterden branch in 2009. Her spare time is taken up with looking after her two children, assisting on the family farm and looking after her pets.
Pippa Austin - Receptionist
Pippa joined our Tenterden branch in November 2016 as a Receptionist. She enjoys keeping active by regularly swimming, doing Pilates and running around after her two naughty cats, Billy and Teddy.
Kim Rummery - Receptionist
Kim joined Cinque Ports Vets from our sister company Milbourn Equine in 2017. In her time away from work, Kim is an active volunteer with a local RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) driving group as well as volunteering at the ARRCC (Activities, Respite, Rehabilitation, Care Centre) based in Rye. Kim is a horse owner and hopes to compete again one day.
