  • Dedicated to your pet's wellbeing

Waiting times in the NHS have been in the news in recent months. Emergency rooms are under siege and the press is full of stories about routine operations being postponed or cancelled.

Appointments at doctor’s surgeries can be difficult to secure quickly even if they are urgent. Test results and follow ups can take weeks to come through and there is little choice of suitable date or time for the patient.

How comforting then to know that at Cinque Ports Vets we treat an emergency as just that and we will see your pet urgently if required. Even after our branches are closed, we operate our own Out of Hours emergency service so that we can offer advice or treatment equally quickly. All you need to do is call your usual surgery number to reach our vet on Out of Hours duty.

Our regular appointment system is designed so that you will be seen quickly and usually by your preferred veterinary surgeon wherever possible for routine matters. Some diagnostic tests are carried out in-house, meaning that you can potentially receive results the same day or within 48 hours. The external laboratory we use operates a daily courier service for collection of samples and results are emailed to us resulting in an efficient and speedy service. The results of other procedures such as X-Rays and Ultrasound scans will be discussed with you by your vet soon after they are performed and in the unfortunate case of an operation being required, we move fast and often straight away.

We have staggered daily surgery times and late night consultations to accommodate the needs of our clients. Saturday appointments are also available with our Rye and Kingsnorth branches offering extended Saturday opening times. Follow up appointments if needed are made at the time of the first examination with you choosing the time of day best suited to your lifestyle.

We know how precious your pets are to you and how anxious a waiting period can be. Our aim is to reduce the time you spend worrying and restore your pet to health as quickly as possible.
