• Veterinary EMS Students

We are currently accepting applications for EMS placements at Cinque Ports Vets – here’s some more information about what a placement might look like for you at our practice.

EMS student experience

We are happy to accept vet students from all years.

Opportunities available for EMS students and working hours

We are very flexible with our working hours and rota. If the student is with us for 5 days, then we recommend keeping their hours to a maximum of 8 hours each day, with a start time between 8am - 10 a.m.

The student’s level of training will depend on how hands-on they are able to be. We rely on feedback as to what they would like to achieve during their time here with us.

What we expect from our EMS students and what they can expect in return

We expect EMS students to conduct themselves professionally in the workplace. We also want them to be engaged and passionate about their time here; the more proactive and involved they want to be within the practice, the more opportunities there will be to learn and take on more hands-on experience.

Travel and accommodation

We are accessible by public transport, with our main hospital (Kingsnorth) close to a bus stop and just under 2 miles from Ashford station, but it is often easier to get here by car if you are coming from further afield. We have a large car park attached to the practice with designated staff parking.
