Cinque Ports Vets are taking part in a national pet welfare initiative to raise awareness of the serious health threat that prostate disease can cause in un-neutered male dogs.
Severe disease causes symptoms such as constipation, lameness and difficulties in urination. It can affect the majority of un-neutered male dogs over 5 years old and most suffer in silence until the disease becomes severe. This is why we believe it is important to screen apparently normal dogs for early signs of the disease. Throughout November we are offering a special Prostate Awareness Month consultation for £28.56. This will include a full clinical and prostate examination of your dog by your veterinary surgeon and free testing of a urine sample to detect for the presence of blood. Please contact us now to book your appointment.
