This young black headed gull was brought into our Rye branch yesterday by a member of the public walking on Camber Sands.
Sadly he had a fishing line and hook stuck inside his throat. Our senior vet, Richard Williams administered some anaesthetic gas and was then able to remove the hook and line.
The gull is now recovering and will be sent to Mallydams Wildlife Centre for complete recuperation and to be returned to the wild.
